Celebrities have a tough time. Almost every aspect of their daily life
is scrutinized and criticized to the tee. But they are people too; who
have ordinary desires for a family and children. But when a celebrity
baby is born, the media glare around the baby and the family grows ten
fold. Simply because they are celebrities! Adult celebrities have a
tough time adjusting to the fame and popularity but children who have
grown into the same media glare seem to deal with the problem in
different ways. Let’s take a look at a few popular celebrity babies and
what they are doing right now.
Madonna
and her child- Everyone knows that Madonna was a handful in her heydays
but her child is something else altogether. The tiny new fashionista’s
is already hitting the news with her fashion sense and bold quotes. We
frankly are expecting trouble from the brunette who seems to have
inherited the fiery Latin temperament of her father and her mother’s
brash attitude to life. At the end of her world tour, Madonna pulled her
daughter Lourdes on to the stage who was dressed in the same revealing
outfits as the background dancers!
The
general consensus is that the girl is intelligent, attractive and going
to be a handful when she finally breaks out. Madonna has worked hard in
controlling her children’s social life with a strict French education,
and even no dating for Lourdes till she is eighteen. At present, the
children have personal trainers, a strictly supervised macrobiotic diet
and half an hour of TV restricted to weekends!
The
children have already been pushed into Kabala and Lourdes spends
weekends learning the intricacies of the Jewish faith. Although everyone
expects a breakout to be imminent, Madonna still has a pretty strict
hold on Lourdes. Pocket money is limited to ten pounds that is docked
when household chores are not completed and Christmas gifts are limited
to one per child. But the girl has her heart set on being an actress!
For such a prominent star child, Lourdes is remarkably well adjusted.
But its early days yet!
The
Angelina Jolie Brood- Please note that we’ve not referred to them as the
Brad Pitt brood! When you actually look at the bundle of kids from the
Jolie farm you are consciously amazed at the wide range of nationalities
and cultures that they represent. Of course, now she has several of her
own but the very first adopted child Maddox is literally a brat!
Maddox
enjoyed his mother’s unlimited attention for several years and her
carefree influence in very visible in his existing fashion sense. A
crazy Mohawk was the very first thing that attracted nearly everyone’s
attention. After that nearly everything that he wore caught the media’s
attention and literally flew off the department shelves. At present he
might be a short eight years old but he is already world famous.
Gwen Stephani and her children- The singer, actress and fashion designer
is renowned for her eclectic fashion sense and prodigious talent. As a
result, her two children are benig closely. With rocker father Gavin
Rossdale, and her talent, there are strong hopes that both sons may turn
out to be powerhouses of talent. They are still small with Kingston a
tiny three and the other Zuma Nesta Rock being only six months. But lets
wait and watch.
Celebrities may not have it easy but let’s face it; their children have
to face double the stress and tension. It’s not easy to live up to world
famous talents like Madonna, Angelina Jolie and Gwen Stefani. There are
very good chances that the children will be successful in their own
right but there are good chances that the children may go astray too. |
